White Water : Daylight Ep

Cliché 50

White Water / Daylight Ep

Finally Sid sent Bot’Ox vocal parts, and Cosmo Vitelli and Julien Briffaz brought together the Bot’Ox crew (Juan « Dye » de Guillebon on bass and Jeremy Hickey on drums) to record a session « the old school way ». « Daylight » was meant to be recorded live, edited like an old extended disco track though trying to keep a modern touch on it. The original comes out with amazing remixes. Who else than Jacques Renault could provide a perfect rework of it? He’s the one you’d ask first to turn a classical disco track into a modern dancefloor burner.

And we’ve been long time fans of Domenico Torti, who was part of the very first Cliché Breaks release many years ago. If you don’t know him Domenico Torti was a master in Reel to Reel editing, and did many additional production on some of the best material released by Dimitri From Paris (remember his Stetsasonic remix). It’s an unusual single compared to the recent I’m a Cliché releases, but if you follow and like the label, you might do it because it’s versatile and eclectic. We hope that « Daylight » will find you as well as the first rays of the summer.
