Dolly Parton Says Times are Not Right for Bestowing Her w/ Honors

Revered American singer, country songwriter and philanthropist Dolly Parton has rejected Tennessee lawmakers’ proposal of installing a statue of her at the state Capitol. Ms. Parton had posted a tweet saying that doing so during times like these is inappropriate.

However, Ms. Parton’s humility has all the more convinced the people to push for a statue to honor her, in light of many contributions she made to help not only the people of Tennessee, especially during these trying times. Apparently, her Dollywood Foundation has attained global support, which enabled the charity group to contribute funds needed in the research and development of the Moderna vaccine.

Rejection of the Dolly Parton Capitol Statue is Not the First

Actually, this is not the first time Dolly Parton refused to receive any recognition, since during Trump’s term, she has reportedly declined to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom not only once, but twice.

Yet State Representative John Mark Windle still introduced the bill and was passed by the Congress of Tennessee last February 9. The bill was in support of an online petition last year, calling on the Tennessee State House to change the Confederate statues torn down during protest movements. However, even if the bill has been enacted, statue cannot be constructed without Ms. Parton’s consent. As it is, the iconic country singer asked lawmakers in a statement not to consider pursuing the bill.

Nonetheless, through her social media pages, Ms. Parton thanked the Tennessee legislature for their consideration of the bill, mentioning that she is humbled and honored by their objective. However, she has already requested the leaders of the state to take down the bill and not to include it among the state’s approved bills.

Why it is Best to Listen to Music During Workout

Music is everywhere – at home, school and at work. We listen to music when we work, do our assignments, and while commuting. Music has been part of our lives ever since we were kids because it helps us stay in focus and regain energy. One of the activities that is best paired with music is workout. Listening to music while doing our favorite workout help us be more productive and focused. There are even studies that shows men who are doing extreme exercises while using quality SARMs such as Ostarine https://www.masculinedevelopment.com/ostarine-complete-guide-mk-2866/ will benefit most from listening to music.

I started working out when I was 16 years old and at first I did not listen to what my fathers and friends say when it comes to having background music while working out or doing other physical activities. One reason is that I am really not that type of person who is fond of music. Then one time while doing weightlifting I felt kind of bored of what I am doing then I tried putting some music on. Then I notice that it really helps me to be in the mood. As I continue to incorporate music in my workout, I discovered that my favorite songs, regardless of the genre will keep me moving.

For those who are still not that convinced how music make a positive impact on our performance during workout here are some reasons:

1. Music is your best distraction

By listening to music while working out, it distracts us from the energy and effort that we are exerting during the activity. Research shows that this will increase our performance by twenty percent. It is also advisable to listen to up beat music.

2. Increases effort without even knowing

Music is beneficial to us especially when we are doing work out or any type of physical activities. For example, when you are riding a bicycle or cycling, you will work harder and will feel less tired. Up beat tunes are best but not too fast and not too loud because you still have to be aware of what is going on in your surrounding.

Is it Okay to Listen to Music While Driving a Motorcycle?

The question “is it okay to listen to music while driving a motorcycle?” is probably the most asked question to me ever since I started owning a motorcycle. It is usually asked by those people who are planning to buy a motorcycle and at the same time very fond of music, and of course my co-drivers. I have seen on my fellow drivers that prior to wearing their helmets, they will first put on their wireless earphones. Majority do this, but there are also those who preferred not to listen to music because they feel like it will be too dangerous.

Although I keep on saying that, personally, it is fine to listen to music while driving, the real question is whether it is really safe to ride a two wheeled vehicle while listening to music? or would it be more safe to ride without any form of distraction? While in some countries, it is allowed to drive while there is music, there are countries that prohibit this such as California. This is because there are lots of motorcycle accident that are caused by distractions such as music. It is either too loud or the music genre is inappropriate. Also, another possible cause is that driver was not wearing protective gears such as helmet, gloves, etc. To prevent bruises and wounds from accidents, I advise you to visit 10hightech.net.

Does Music Really Create Distraction?

There are a lot of studies about music as a form of distraction because it does not really help someone concentrate, but instead hinder you to perform properly. If you are still confused why music is dangerous, check the examples below:

1. The music is very noisy or loud– while driving, especially on open air, it is important to hear background noise such as the sound of other vehicle. Also we usually aim for relaxation, too much loud music can be a hindrance.

2. Your favorite music may cause you harm–  you may find this quite hard to believe, but is some cases, this is true. If your favorite music is playing while you are driving, chances are you will make a mistake, forget something, because your focus is on the song.
