Katy Perry’s Daisy Dove Arrives, Two Days Before Release of “Smile”

Katy Perry gave birth to her and Orlando Bloom’s Daisy Dove on Aug. 26, just two days before the release of Katy’s new album “Smile.” Although the celebrity couple are beside themselves with joy and appreciation for the safe and healthy arrival of their baby girl, they are not forgetting that many in communities across the globe are not as lucky as they are.

As both Katy and Orlando are Ambassadors of Goodwill for UNICEF, the couple have also expressed awareness that not everyone go through a birthing experience experience as peaceful as theirs. It pains the new parents to think that while they are currently floating with love and joy over their baby girl’s arrival, other parents struggle due to healthcare and medicine shortage and simple necessities like soap and water. More so now that the COVID-19 pandemic puts many lives at risk.

Earlier this month, Katy announced that the release date for her forthcoming album entitled “Smile,” falls on August 28, 2020. Recorded under the Capitol Records label, “Smile” is Katy’s 5th studio album, or sixth when counting her live 2009 album “MTV Unplugged.”

About Katy Perry’s Forthcoming Album “Smile”

“Smile” which includes the certified-gold hit single “Never Really Over,” will have fans smiling, relieved that their favorite songstress is now musing about daisies, rainbows, hearts and stars. The new track assures them that their idol has safely recovered from the mental struggles she went through in 2017, as it had driven her to thoughts of committing suicide.

Today, the smile on Katy and Orlando’s faces reflect the love and happiness they nearly missed experiencing, had they not reconciled in February 2019. In one of her recent radio interviews Katy said

I have been depressed, I have been anxious, I have been overwhelmed, I’ve been happy. I have been all of it.”
