The Importance of Listening to Music in Your Home

When we’re playing music, my house generally seems to be a more nice, serene, and joyful environment. I did some research on the subject and discovered that music may be quite beneficial in our homes – especially if you are doing household chores or Schreiner Radolfzell carpentry/construction!

WHY PLAY MUSIC INSIDE THE HOUSE?

Music can help us feel less stressed. Many of us believe that music helps reduce our stress levels. It turns out that this advantage is real and not in our heads! According to research, some people can experience detectable physiological stress-reducing benefits after listening to music. In actuality, the anti-stress benefits of music are comparable to those of receiving a massage. This implies that even just listening to music may make us feel at ease and enable us to handle the turmoil that occasionally arises in our houses.

Our moods can be lifted by music. When one family member is unhappy, it usually affects the rest of the family as well. Fortunately, we can elevate our moods by listening to music. When a member of the family is feeling apprehensive, we can play soothing music. When a member of the family is feeling low, we can play uplifting music. When a family member lacks motivation or feels disheartened, we can play upbeat music.

When we are working on housework, music can assist us work more swiftly. Numerous cleaning tasks qualify as moderate-intensity physical exercise, as we’ve already explained. Check out this list of 25 housekeeping tasks that each burn 100 calories if you don’t believe me! Fast music makes individuals work out harder, according to research, and music has been shown to improve endurance and physical performance. If music offers these advantages during vigorous exercise, it probably offers comparable advantages during our somewhat vigorous activities around the house (mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing bathtubs, etc.).

Our children can learn about time through music. Young children might not comprehend the notion of minutes and hours, but when particular activities are paired with songs, they can comprehend that it is time for those activities.

Music For Garden Plants And Flowers

For many people, beautiful and healthy green and flowering plants are simply part of a feel-good atmosphere. No matter whether in the house or apartment, on the balcony, or in your own garden, individual planting is essential.

There are many ways to promote plant growth and health, starting with a suitable container and ending with sufficient sunlight. You can also put screens in your garden to protect them. For screens, a popular choice in black is common.

On the other hand, one of the more unconventional methods of positively supporting plant development is music, which, if chosen correctly, is said to make plants grow faster.

Luxury Screens

Do garden plants really grow faster with music playing?

It is no longer a secret that music can have numerous positive effects on the well-being of humans and animals. Playing music to the indoor and balcony plants in order to stimulate their growth certainly seems rather strange to most people. In fact, scientific studies have shown that music can have a positive effect on health and, above all, on the growth of plants. The reason for this lies in the nature of the plant cells. These contain membranes that respond to sounds of any kind. Certain noises or sound waves stimulate the metabolism in the cells and cause the plants to open their pores. Even if plants and flowers naturally don’t have ears, it still plays a role in them.

Which music has positive effects on plant growth?

Extensive experiments have shown that the timbre of the music determines whether a plant is stimulated to grow or not. Accordingly, classical and especially soft pieces of music have a particularly positive effect on plant health.

On the other hand, if the plants are exposed to harsh sounds such as rock or metal, these may have the opposite effect and the plants may even wither away. The plants, which were regularly played with classical music as part of the experiments, bore more and larger fruits or had larger leaves and flowers. If you want to do something good for your plants, you should rely on gentle sounds more often.

Romani Music and Fortune Telling : Entertainment Inspired by Multiple Regional Influences

Romani music collectively refers to the melodic compositions of a historically nomadic group of people known for bringing entertainment that made them popular as musicians. Although the Romanis are also called gipsies, the term is derogatory as they have often been marginalized in the many places in which they briefly settled. Nevertheless, many also welcomed the arrival of gipsies because they also offer fortune telling services.

Since this group of nomads have seen and lived in different far off places, Romani music has different influences, from their Northern Indian to Arabic, Byzantine, Persian, Greek, Turkish, German, Slavic, Dutch, French, Russian, Romanian and even Jewish traits. Romani songs often infuse one or more dialects. While musical compositions tend to have varying melodic styles, format and rhytkic structures, since influences come from different regions.

Still, music experts say that Romani or Gypsy music drew most of its themes and inspirations from Hungary, Romania, Russia and other Eastern European countries many have settled permanently. Part of the interest in Romani culture stems from the racial discriminations

The Fortune Teller

In the late 18th century toward the early 19th century, one of the most popular live musical presentations in Broadway, was a three-part operetta called “The Fortune Teller” composed by Victor Herbert, an American musician. The musical premiered at the Wallack’s Theater in Broadway and thereafter ran for 40 performances. Depicted in a Hungarian setting and headlined by popular Broadway star Alice Nielsen, the show ran in London’s Shaftesbury Theatre on April 9, 1901 for 88 performances.

In 1929, a revival of The Fortune Teller went on in New York’s Jolson’s 59th Street Theatre but ran only for 16 performances. During that time, fortune telling was already considered a criminal offense in the state, which made it unpopular as an operatic theme. However, the musical is more of a romantic musical in which the opera star Alice Nielsen played a dual role as Musette the gypsy fortune teller and as Irma,a Hungarian heiress studying ballet in Budapest.

A merry mix up transpired as events led to a case of mistaken identity to which Musette was mistaken for Irma. It turned out that Irma was trying to escape from her family as she was being forced to marry a wealthy but silly Hungarian aristocrat named Count Barezowski.

Irma was also in love with a dashing Hussar captain, while Musette was trying to avoid local authorities. At that time, voth the Church and State regarded fortune telling as witchcraft and anyone who practices it has demonic tendencies. Still, not many in Eurioe shared the same belief about fortune tellers, because some see predictions as helpful in mapping out plans for the future.

Romani Fortune Telling Still Popular in Modern Settings

Modern day fortune tellers like محمد سالم بن علي الهاشمي contend that planning has to take into consideration patterns of behavior extracted from past experiences in order to make future predictions However, certain events like the pandemic, could happen, which can impact all plans and predictions about the future.

There is also fortune telling by way of divination, which involves the ability to read and interpret tarot cards, the entrails of sacrificed animals and analyze phenomenal events such as the appearance of comets and the flight and arrival of birds.

How To Promote Your Music On Social Media

Developing an effective social media strategy is the most important first step for you. A good social media strategy should outline your goals and purposes and define the strategic steps and tactics you will use to achieve those goals.

Promoting your music: Points that social media strategy must cover

Set your goals and targets

Goals and objectives are a fundamental part of a social media strategy. You should clearly define what you want to achieve with your presence on social media.

Whether it’s selling more tickets and attracting more fans to your concerts, or reaching a wider audience and increasing your music streams, it’s important that your goals are smart. They must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-limited. The more detailed your goals are, the more you know about your performance and the better you can track it.

Social Boosting

Building your brand

The content you create and share with your followers reflects a lot about you as a musician and as a person. The brand you build for yourself as a musician as part of the social media tactic is quite a tough concept. It has a lot to do with self-knowledge and how well you know yourself. Branding should definitely include points like the tonality of your voice in the posts you write, your visual identity, and many more.

The way you present yourself on social media will ultimately help you attract the right audience. They will be able to relate to you and develop a deeper connection to your music. Thus, Social Boosting can help you with attracting the right audience.

Determining your target audience

It’s crucial that you learn all about your fans and followers. Social networks should give you access to reliable analytics that give you insights into the demographics and behavior of your target audience.

This information should help you create an audience “persona” that represents your target audience. It deepens your understanding of their demographic values, interests, goals, and behavioral intentions.

Planning and creation of a content calendar

Consistency is the key. That’s because a regular publishing schedule entices your audience to keep coming back. Not only can a content calendar help you stay consistent with your creative sharing on social media. It can also differentiate between different types of content that you create for different channels.

In general, you can divide your content into these categories: personal/professional content and promotional content. Professional and personal content is about photos or videos from a performance, photo shoot, or music video shoot. Promotional content focuses directly on music marketing.

3 Ways Music Impact Your Body and Mind

Happy woman listening to music

Music is powerful.

The influence of songs and sound on us is greater than what many believe. Like learning how to leverage music in your daily life is very beneficial to your mind and body. Here, we show three ways listening to your favorite songs can improve your life.

The effects of music

Listening to music influences many different physical processes. It changes the respiratory and heart rate and regulates blood pressure, muscle tension, and hormone balance. The reason for this is our natural reaction to sounds, which in turn affects the emotional center in the brain, the limbic system. Depending on what kind of songs we listen to, this can have a positive or negative effect on us.

Everyone can use this effect to improve their own well-being or to direct their own emotions. In addition to choosing the right headphones or speakers, the right CD or playlist is also crucial, so that the music can unfold its effect according to the mood and your own taste.

1. Mood-lifting and motivating

It is scientifically proven that the right music can lift our mood. This also strengthens one’s own self-confidence and provides a proper motivation boost. Many professional athletes use this effect before a fight, a game, a downhill, etc. by listening to certain songs through their headphones, which give them a feeling of strength, power, and invincibility. Among other things, they stimulate the release of endorphins, which in turn creates feelings of happiness and helps to improve performance.

During training, preparation for an exam, or a presentation, music can help you cope better with the effort, to last the last few minutes or to complete the final meters or kilometers before the finish.

2. Reduce anxiety and stress

It has also been proven that listening to music has a positive effect on people who are depressed or have anxiety. Here, too, it is important to be guided by personal musical taste, but there are exceptions: Scientists have found that heavy metal and techno showed rather negative effects on, for example, postoperative heart patients, while Bach, Mozart or Italian composers caused the best stress and anxiety reduction. The positive effect is therefore more likely to occur with cheerful songs, which also correspond to one’s own taste.

3. Stress-reducing and relaxing

In gentle, cheerful sounds, betaendorphins and norepinephrine are increasingly released – two hormones that have an analgesic or stress-reducing effect. Not only can music help before a presentation or during training, but also afterward the right melodies can be useful to relax, bring the stress level back to a normal level faster, and possibly even quench small aches and pains.

Scientists were able to determine this especially when test persons switched on quiet music during warm-up or after the end of an intensive training session. Thus, not only the fitness unit but also the “cool down” afterward has an additional stress-reducing effect.

Music can also be used as a sleep aid or as a sedative, for example, if you are nervous before a performance or a job interview. With the right sound in the headphones – which is again very individual which one that is – almost a meditative state can be achieved. Which sounds are the right ones for this can be determined in a self-test, but instrumental, jazz, classical, and reggae are considered suitable types of music.

Car Audio Systems and Why You Need Car Covers to Protect Them

In India particularly in Mumbai and Bengaluru, owning a car is not practical because traffic congestions in cities are branded as the worst in the world. Still those who do have car s install a stereo or audio system to help them manage the long hours of driving in congested cities. Moreover, once they reach their destination, they protect their vehicle with a car cover to keep the car and all its systems and mechanisms shielded from the direct heat of the sun’s UV rays

As a matter of fact, nowadays, car covers are one of the most important car travel accessories for car owners. The covers come in different types and for specific make and models to make sure they fit the vehicle to a tee. Let’s say one is driving a standard 2021 Ford SUV Expedition, the car owner needs only to input the specific details when ordering a ford car cover from an online store.

A car cover is essential to keep an automobile protected not only from dust, rain, snow, hailstones and bird droppings but also from other elements that create conditions, which can affect the quality of sound produced by the car’s music system.

Other Important Maintenance Steps in Caring for a Car’s Stereo or Audio System

Actually, harsh and unforgiving hot weather and climate conditions are now common everywhere. Nevertheless, take heed of the following pointers as it’s common for car owners to neglect their vehicle’s car music system. Not a few, remember to do so, only when the system produces distorted, jittery, fading or low sounds. Such issues are usually caused by damaged wirings, grime build up and corrosions.

At the very onset, it’s important to make sure the speakers are set up correctly. As the vehicle constantly travels, loose-fitting speakers will create excessive reverberations that distort sound outputs. It would be best therefore that when buying a stereo or audio system, a professional installer should perform the installation process. That way all the plugins, wirings and bolts are in the right places.

Avoid placing magnetic elements near the speakers, as magnetic forces can greatly rival the electromagnetic airwaves transmitted by audio systems.

Do not place speaker systems on a metallic base to prevent magnetic field conduction that could cause voice distortions. Speaker systems are best installed in compartments made of wood with no magnetic elements.

Regularly clean the speakers as the mesh materials easily builds up grime that clog the porous speaker covering. The clogs distort the sound waves coming out of the speakers. However, be sure to refer to the manual for proper cleaning instructions. Mainly to avoid damaging delicate components of speaker or audio systems.

Joining Your Children To Musical Activities

Musical interactions between children should be viewed as sonorous interactions. Finding, accompanying, and inspiring them in day-to-day nurseries is at the forefront of educational support in nursery music education. It’s not about teaching or instilling “music” in the kids.

The musical activity of the youngest

Find out what’s going on in the world of music right now
The teacher’s understanding of what makes “music” must be linked to the youngest students’ musical experiences. Using the term “musical activity” instead of “music” is the simplest way to achieve this. Because the word “music” conjures up images of subjective judgments. You can also listen to music while doing certain activities, such as painting, but you will need high-quality material to paint with first; for more information, see Best of Trim – The best in trim painting. In order to be perceived or recognized as “music,” sounding events must be pleasing, harmonious, rhythmically structured, and beneficial.

Recognize musical expression movement
Because of the above-mentioned expanded concept of music, we can assume that everyone is musically active from birth. There is no need to “musicalize” a child. Pedagogues in day nurseries develop their personal interest in the musically active child rather than imparting or teaching “music” to the child. They see musical activity as a form of expression that every child (and educator) is given from birth. This is something that comes from “within,” that does not need to be learned, and that cannot be taught. This movement of musical expression, which is unique to each of us, unfolds in a highly individual manner when it is perceived and answered by others. For this, children need mindful people who listen, who give their soundtracks attentively and interestedly space, who are inspired by the noises, sounds, rhythms, and tones of the youngest, and who in turn inspire the children with their own musical expression. Musical experience is based, so to speak, on a decision to perceive and exploit the musical dimension of a moment. Everyday events, such as raindrops pattering on the window, a bunch of keys falling, grains of sand falling on leaves, or the scratching of fingers on a drum, can be perceived as a musical phenomenon, or all of this remains a more or less pleasant background noise for this moment.

Give space to the beginner’s mind
Children perceive things and events in their environment through their senses. Triggered by the sensually perceptible phenomena, their impulses for action arise. For example, a “cup” is specifically that one cup standing on the table. It is this round, green, hollow thing inside and empties at the moment. In order to be perceived as such and to develop curiosity and impulses to act, the child does not need a verbally communicable concept of “cup”, “round”, “green”, “empty/full”, “hand/mouth”, etc. The collected sensory impressions from this cup allow the child many actions in the special situation. It can push it, grab it, tip it over. It can make it rattle on the table, put a chestnut in it, hit it with a spoon. The interest that has arisen through the momentary perception guides his actions. His action is still little guided by experience and ideas or patterns of action derived from it. In this way, bringing the cup to the mouth can immediately pass into the generation of noise with it, before it is held out to the teacher: “wants to drink”. To be able to follow spontaneous impulses without too many pre-shaping experiences is the privilege of the beginner’s mind of the youngest. This also applies to musical activity. From the beginner’s mind, every object can be used to generate noise and sound in a variety of ways. And every musical instrument can do more than sound.

Baylor University Study Proved Earworms Occur Even During Sleep Periods

While most people turn to music as a form of relaxation, usually as a sleep inducing, going-to-bed ritual, a study shows doing so produces the opposite effect. A recent scientific survey and lab study performed by researchers at Baylor University investigated the correlation between sleep and music, with particular focus on involuntary musical imagery known as “earworms.”

Earworms usually happen when one is awake, but occurrence is also possible while sleeping. The phenomenon can be described as those instances when a tune or song gets “stuck” in a person’s mind.

Earworms Lead to Poor Sleep Quality

According to lead researcher, Michael Scullin, Ph.D. whose core specialization is the study of sleep, our brains still process music when we’re slumbering; and even if the music we are listening to has stopped playing. While it cannot be disputed that listening to good music is very enjoyable, Professor Scullin contends that a person is more likely to get an earworm during sleep time.

To many who find it difficult to catch a much needed sleep, getting an “earworm” can be most annoying.

Actually many suffer from earworms, once or twice a week and the experience often results to having poor sleep quality. Quite surprisingly, instrumental music and not the lyrical ones have the most potential to cause earworms that negatively affect sleep quality. This particular revelation clearly opposes common recommendations of listening to calming musical instruments.

How the Occurrence of Earworm Syndrome During Sleep was Proven?

The study analyzed data gathered through a laboratory experiment and from a series of surveys that involved 209 participants. The surveys included questions concerning each individual’s music listening habits, the frequency of experiencing earworms, and the quality of their sleep.

The laboratory experimental study, on the other hand, involved 50 participants, on whom the research team intentionally caused earworms by making listen to certain types of music.

To observe how the earworms affected sleep quality of the 50 participants, individual recordings of brain waves, breathing, heart rate, and etc., were documented while they were sleeping. The comprehensive test was performed using an instrument called polysomnography.

The conclusion that earworms do affect sleep negatively, was partly confirmed by participants’ responses to questionnaires. Some indicated that they normally wake up in the middle of the night, others say they have difficulty in catching asleep, while some others experience light stages of sleep for longer durations.

Professor Scullin said that the lab experiment revealed similar findings on the 50 participants. Those who experienced sleep earworm had more movement in brain activities while asleep, which is considered as a sign of memory reactivations. The gradual increase of slow back and forth movements in brain activities were found in the region associated with the primary auditory cortex. The latter is the same brain area, where earworms are processed when a person is awake.

Based on the results of the study, the Baylor University researchers recommend for people to take breaks if earworms are affecting you and the quality of your sleep. Moreover, they also mentioned the importance not listening to music before sleeping.

Lastly, one must take part in cognitive activity in order to effectively eliminate earworms, which can be achieved by completely focusing on a task that will divert the brain’s attention from the earworm.

In several destinations, including Nashville, Austin, and Las Vegas, music plays an immense role in the experience for tourists. Many travelers will book entire trips around a concert or show, and it’s a requirement to own playlists surrounding the holiday theme. Fernandez points out that music can aid in setting the tone for a vacation.“Sixty-six percent of listeners think music sets the mood and vibe for his or her leisure trip,” she said, explaining that this could are available the shape of paying attention to music during a plane ride or on a drive to a destination or perhaps while planning the trip and thinking of memories from the trip afterward.

Another interesting discovery from the survey is what percentage of listeners find music to be a source for calming.

“Sixty-seven percent of our Pandora listeners find music to be a stress anxiety reliever,” Fernandez shared, adding that that being attentive to music is true up there with other self-care activities like going for a walk, being outside, cooking, etc. where visual media isn’t accessible.

Tow Tributes : Making a Unified Call for Motorists to Respect Move Over Laws

Although predatory tow truck operators give the towing industry a bad rep, the majority of the general public think of tow truck drivers as unsung heroes. Apparently, they refer to the tow truck drivers who quickly respond to calls for roadside assistance, which could be a stressful and dangerous situation. During annual celebrations of the National Move Over Day in the month of October, tow truck drivers are among the group of first responders honored in recognition of the valuable services they provide to Americans.

Actually the annual celebrations also serves as reminders of the “Move Over” laws introduced several years ago. The laws requires motorists to slow down and change lanes as soon as they see the yellow arrows and flashing light warnings. The rules aim to provide emergency responders a safe space between them and oncoming motorists during emergency operations.

The need to codify the road rule became necessary because every year, a growing number of first responders working along highways are killed by motorists who do not slow down. Ignoring the laws endanger the lives of medical emergency crews, ambulances, firefighters, law enforcement officers and tow truck drivers while at work in emergency situations.

However, as it became apparent that many vehicle drivers are still not aware of such laws, part of the campaigns launched to raise the public’s awareness over the Move Over laws is the holding of the National Move Over Day.

In California, non-compliance with the state’s Mover Over law can result to payment of fines of up to $1,000 in addition to becoming a blight in the erring motorist’s driving record.

Tow Tributes for Fallen Truck Drivers

In many states, it is common for the towing industry to organize a separate tow tribute in paying final respect to fallen tow truck drivers. One of the most memorable tow tributes held in the history of America’s towing industry was the one held in Massachusetts in 2018.

https://youtu.be/ad7TPv9B5yI

The Massive Tow Tribute Held for a Tow Truck Driver in Massachusetts

In 2018, a massive tow tribute was held for tow truck driver Daniel Coady Jr., who was killed while rendering road assistance. Only 41 years old and a father of two young children, Coady was hit by a female DUI driver, while he was hooking up a car that became disabled while on the Interstate 495 in Andover.

After Coady’s funeral, more than 600 tow truck drivers, joined by a hundred others, including state troopers, police officers, firefighters, descended at the parking lot of North Andover Mall to pay tribute. Tow truck drivers present were from competitor towing companies of all sizes and types hauling, from small, to medium to heavy duty towing services. They all agree that when something happens to one of their own, they come together not as competitors but as brothers.

A representative of the state police reminded the people about the importance of slowing down once they see the yellow flashing lights at a far distance. However, some tow truck drivers say that some people do not find a need to slow down when they see tow truck drivers at work, simply because they do not respect the towing profession. Not a few shared experiences of getting hit by vehicles or of getting “skimmed” by motorists who insists on going by.

How Music affects on gaming

Audio is an integral element in our own lives, with no exclusion in the realm of video game, known as as sport sound. It’s become popular and video games have lots of distinct elements that compose sport sound. According to our expertise, some game audios are extremely nicely, but occasionally they do not fit right with the match situation. In this article, we’d love to rate the part of game sound with special attention to comprehend their impact on immersion and psychological engagement. We conducted the experiments to communicate the questions concerning the significance of match sound components, including the compatibility of sound components in movie game. It may be reasoned that audio effect is the main sound components in video games.

Cosmetic components like soundtrack songs have been failed in sport amusement study. Study 1 tested these assumptions using N = 68 youthful male gamers of a event of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag®, either together with the original soundtrack audio absent or present, and reported sport pleasure, in addition to scores of this supposed mediator variables then. Another example is Warpath, it’s an interesting game followed by it’s cool music. Warpath free gifts and codes can be found here btw 😉

Findings clearly demonstrate an indirect impact of soundtrack songs on pleasure through positive emotions (study 1) and also an effects of (shocking) songs on gamers’ terror adventure. But a mediation of this impact of soundtrack music on sport pleasure via spatial existence or identification wasn’t established. We discuss implications for future study in game entertainment.

Research Study Reveals Music Recommendation Algorithms are Partial to Male Artists

A group of sound and computing experts performed a study of music streaming apps, which revealed that results generated by algorithms were not always fair. The study which was conducted in 2020, was presented in March 2021 at the Conference on Human Information Interaction and Retrieval held in Canberra ACT Australia. It presented evidence that most digital, AI supported music recommenders are partial to male artists.

According to study authors Xavier Serra, Andres Ferraro and Christine Bauer, 400 million people subscribed to one music streaming app in 2020. The technology used a recommendation algorithm that is inclined to pick and recommend music of male artists over female female artists. They said that such partiality also exists in music streaming services, where only a handful of female superstars have taken prominence among the most popular artists in the music industry.

Although the researchers acknowledge that the problem takes roots from beyond the industry, the algorithms of online music platforms known as recommenders can also have an influential role. Their testing of the algorithms revealed that on the average, the first six recommended tracks are those of male artists. Songs of female musicians are queued by the 7th or 8th song.

In conjunction, the research group analyzed the listening behaviour of about 330,000 users for the past nine years, from which they were able to extract data that users had listened to only 25% of female artists rated as popular.

About the Study Authors

The sound and computing experts who conducted the research study include Professor Xavier Serra of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) Barcelona, who delves into research in the field of Sound and Music Computing. He is also the founder of UPF’s Music Technology Group.

Andres Ferraro is a UPF PhD student and doing research work at the university’s Department of Information and Communication Technologies Audio Signal Processing Lab.

Christine Bauer Christine Bauer is an assistant professor at the Human-Centred Computing group at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Netherland’s Utrecht University

How harmful headphones are to your ears

Podcasts, music and phone calls to go: Through headphones, our ears are exposed to permanent sonication. What damage this can do and how to avoid it.

Shoes on, jacket too, headphones in – with sound in their ears, many people leave the house. Especially for commuters, headphones are an integral part of the morning and evening routine. And the loud outside noises keep you caught breaking the recommended maximum volume.

This is where the problem begins: According to the German Association for Ophthalmologists, a volume above 85 decibels is critical for the ears. This is about as noisy as a busy road, a vacuum cleaner or a lawnmower. “With headphones, this limit is exceeded very quickly,” warns Prof. Laszig, Director of the ENT Clinic Freiburg. Some devices have therefore installed a volume control that displays critical areas in color. “You should take the db information seriously and stick to them,” the ENT specialist recommends.

Permanent noise can cause permanent damage

To understand the load of headphones, you need to know how the hearing works. When the sound hits the ear, it is directed as an impulse wave via the eardrum and ear knuckles to the hearing snail. There, small hair cells convert the sound wave into bioelectric impulses, which are transmitted to the brain as hearing information. “If the sound pressure on the hair cell is too high, she stops her work,” Laszig explains. And the fewer hair cells work, the less arrives in the brain.

If you sound your hearing for 40 hours a week sound pressure levels of 80-85 decibels, this can result in hearing impairments or ear noises (tinnitus), warns the German Professional Association of Ophthalmologists. For this reason, for example, noise workers have to have a hearing test carried out after 12 hours in order to avoid a so-called permanent threshold loss, in which the hair cells no longer regenerate.

Headphones tempt you to increase the volume

Unlike other sources of noise, headphones have a special pitfall: their volume is adjustable. And unfortunately, over time, our ear wants to hear louder sounds – whether we like it or not. Because it adapts to the volume. “The longer we hear a certain level, the quieter it sounds to us,” explains Prof. Laszig. As a result, we unconsciously make the headphones louder and louder to maintain the listening experience.

This effect is the same for all headphones. However, you can trick your ears a little: with so-called noise-cancelling headphones. They shield outside noise, so a lower volume is enough to understand the noise from the headphones. “This reduces the risk of turning up completely,” says Laszig. Typically, over-ear headphones shield better than in-ear headphones. The most effective shielding is provided by noise-cancelling headphones. “But they also don’t protect against increasing the volume over time,” says Prof. Laszig.

Developing an awareness of volume

The bottom line is that headphones alone can’t do so much damage. It only becomes critical when the ears are exposed to many other sources of noise, such as traffic, machinery or rooms with many people and cannot recover. “Noise in everyday life is often underestimated,” says Laszig.

That is why the German Association of Ophthalmologists is trying to sensitize more people to their own sense of volume and has even developed its own noise app for this purpose. Because: At the end of the day, it counts whether the ear can regenerate from the sonication. And if that’s the case, you don’t have to worry. If you have an app idea you want to be developed, head to app developers london.

Tips When Starting an Online Music Store

Whether music or business is one of the things you love the most, you can get the best of both worlds in one business enterprise: a music shop. There are several kinds of music stores, from CD retailers to music stations that market instruments. Beginning a music shop takes more than some cash and a storefront; it also needs a thorough understanding of the music industry in general and particular expertise in the area of music that your business practices.

Knowledgeable Employees

It’s a music shop, which implies that your clients think the people that work in it understand a little thing about music. Look for prospective employees in district music learners from an area school or university (or even high schoolers mature enough to do this kind of job), members of regional bands or some place an ad in your local newspaper named section for music lovers. While you might send a standard interview to make sure they have the customer experience chops to work in your shop, throw in a musical twist by asking them who their most loved musicians are in various genres.

Also, make sure to use internet marketing when establishing your website.

Diversity

Unless you are marketing to a particular genre, it is essential that your store highlight a great deal of musical variety. For instance, if you are thinking of starting an instrument store, stock inventory with an array of devices, not just one or two kinds. Invest in accessories to go with the tools to make sure that artists can get everything they require from your store. If yours is a CD or record shop, your inventory should possess several kinds of musicians.

Get Involved In Community Events

From the source of your company, participate in music-themed events in your area. If you are building your store as a music store and dream of the customers seeing your store as “the professionals” for whatever your inventory is, then the great way to do is by making yourself involved into the community. Strive to be a negotiator at music contests, give away T-shirts decorated with your store’s logo or give away gift cards for local music competition champions.

Dolly Parton Says Times are Not Right for Bestowing Her w/ Honors

Revered American singer, country songwriter and philanthropist Dolly Parton has rejected Tennessee lawmakers’ proposal of installing a statue of her at the state Capitol. Ms. Parton had posted a tweet saying that doing so during times like these is inappropriate.

However, Ms. Parton’s humility has all the more convinced the people to push for a statue to honor her, in light of many contributions she made to help not only the people of Tennessee, especially during these trying times. Apparently, her Dollywood Foundation has attained global support, which enabled the charity group to contribute funds needed in the research and development of the Moderna vaccine.

Rejection of the Dolly Parton Capitol Statue is Not the First

Actually, this is not the first time Dolly Parton refused to receive any recognition, since during Trump’s term, she has reportedly declined to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom not only once, but twice.

Yet State Representative John Mark Windle still introduced the bill and was passed by the Congress of Tennessee last February 9. The bill was in support of an online petition last year, calling on the Tennessee State House to change the Confederate statues torn down during protest movements. However, even if the bill has been enacted, statue cannot be constructed without Ms. Parton’s consent. As it is, the iconic country singer asked lawmakers in a statement not to consider pursuing the bill.

Nonetheless, through her social media pages, Ms. Parton thanked the Tennessee legislature for their consideration of the bill, mentioning that she is humbled and honored by their objective. However, she has already requested the leaders of the state to take down the bill and not to include it among the state’s approved bills.

The Relationship of Music and Paintings

Painted-on piano

A lot of men and women feel there is not any frequent point of connection between arts and music, particularly painting. However, the truth is otherwise.

Art and music, especially painting, have an intimate connection. An environment where music and artwork occur collectively affects our creative procedure. Environmental variables such as colors, darkness or brightness, odor, and sounds activate varying feelings and emotions inside us. Therefore, these lusty encounters input our imaginative process and influence our artworks. Evidence indicates that if a specific kind of painting and music occur in precisely exactly the exact identical surroundings, the end consequence of the painting will differ.

Interpreting Music Through Arts

Many musicians, musicians, and musicologists concur about the connection between the arts. Famous Russian painter and art theorist Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky was fascinated by the connection between visual art and songs he used musical phrases to name a lot of his paintings.

There’s a chance to profit from accepting, researching, and understanding the way that music influences arts, particularly the painting procedure like a diamond painting. To understand this procedure, consider listening to various genres since you perform a painting. The audio will impact your subconscious thoughts, causing a different painting.

To put it differently, several kinds of songs will have an effect on your painting procedure. By way of instance, it has a potent effect on mark-making and color options. If the audio has a quick pace, it will obviously incite fast mark-making.

On the flip side, slow audio will influence how you select colors. It is going to lead to a painting that represents the feelings you’ve experienced when listening to songs. This signifies is you can interpret music through art, for example, painting. Give it a shot and see how songs change the marks onto your canvas.

Disposition, Music, and Painting

Various individuals interpret paintings in various ways according to their emotions, feelings, and disposition. When you have a take a look in a painting, then it isn’t simply the outside depiction that you’re taking a look at. Each image stays in itself a profound and hidden meaning and sense. You are able to find the impression when you take a look at it attentively. You may understand the subject, mood, and feelings on the other side of the painting. The purpose here is that the surroundings where the artist created the painting will soon be observable in the last painting.

As explained previously, music can influence your mood. Subsequently, your disposition will have an effect on your art. This usually means that if you’re listening to a specific music genre whilst painting and then abruptly switch to some other music, the last painting will probably reflect this shift.

Light Painting and Music

Light audio will have an effect on your painting procedure in another manner than dark or fast music since each genre of music puts a different disposition, which will be visible on your own painting. To begin with, play with some mild and calm music whilst painting a picture. This is going to end in a painting that will seem more lovely and realistic. Whoever finds that the painting will subsequently have exactly the very exact feelings you experienced in the time of painting.

Painters may, unarguably, develop realistic paintings when they’re in a relaxed and serene mood. Blend light music with all the lights turned, along with also the last painting will illuminate with vivid tones and colors. That happens because lights and music change your subconscious brain to select light colors. On the flip side, when you hear sad music whilst painting, your disposition will be observable in the last painting. The painting will look gloomy and low.

If you would like to paint something pleasant and cheerful, prevent listening to sad songs. Rather, change on a pleasant, enjoyable, and optimistic genre. Even when you’re feeling miserable and low at the time of painting, then the audio will calibrate your disposition to favorable. Therefore, your painting will be optimistic and beautiful. While songs are helpful as a temporary disposition changer, it’s not a lasting solution to the disposition.

Speedy Coffee and Coffee

There are various instances in which music has inspired several musicians and vice versa. Colors in paintings signify various feelings and moods and songs may influence your color selection. This is very true in regards to quick music. If you paint while adhering to break or fast audio, it is going to lead to an abstract painting with several colors. When you find an abstract painting, then you will soon see that the artist has been listening to fat songs and undergoing a twist of feelings at the right time of painting.

Depressing Coffee and Coffee

If you’re an art enthusiast, odds are you have noticed lots of dark-themed paintings. The gloomy depictions from the painting will allow it to be clear that the painter has been listening to sad music and undergoing gloomy emotions.

It’s normal to presume that a person who’s in a great mood can’t depict gloomy emotions within his paintings. Odds are the individual developed a gloomy painting since he or she had been having a lousy time or gloomy moment. Or it may be because the individual was listening to depressing songs when working within the painting.

In the event you’re advised to make a gloomy painting, however, you’re in a nice and relaxed disposition, then change on gloomy music and begin painting. Doing this will make it effortless for you to make a dark-themed or gloomy painting. The audio will change your disposition from great to gloomy, which will reflect on your art.

Last Ideas

Art and music have a close connection that’s been endorsed by several research and consented musicians, musicians, and musicians. The audio genre you hear while painting will have an effect on your subconscious mind and also swing your disposition. This is going to end in a painting that reflects the sort of music you’re listening to while painting. We can’t discount or jettison the linkage between painting and music. Rather, we ought to adopt this bond between both of these areas of artwork.

Music can improve your life in three ways-including scientifically proven techniques that can help you enjoy your favorite songs and enjoy your day.

1. Music makes people feel good
Music can not only give us a self-confident charm, but it can also do more-it can improve concentration, give us courage and generally make us happy. Research shows that music can help you believe in your own success, thereby increasing your self-esteem-whether you are participating in a marathon or speaking in front of an audience. It also motivates us, enables us to better process information, and ensures that we stick to our business.

2. Music can heal the body and mind
You may know this: music is an indispensable companion for survival in spinning classes or morning jogs. But beyond that, researchers have found that listening to music after exercise may also be beneficial. In particular, slow music can promote relaxation after exercise because it can lower your pulse and help normalize cortisol levels faster and even if you feel weak after training, music can help improve your physical and mental health. We know that once music hits our brains, it triggers a series of chemical reactions that reduce pain signals and thereby reduce discomfort.

3. Music can help you relax
When you feel stressed, music is the best medicine because it acts like a natural sleep and tranquilizer. Researchers say that a quiet melody can even change brain waves to achieve a state of relaxation and meditation. The researchers checked the brain activity of the test subjects while listening to music and meditating. However, it is not as simple as you thought at the beginning, because our music for relaxation varies from person to person. If you are not sure which music wavelength you will find peace and relaxation, it is best to try various genres, such as light jazz, classical, Celtic music or even exaggerated soundtracks

Over the years, it has just become a habit for people to reach for their headphones when it comes to feeling invincible like from this site https://fidgetsguide.com/best-bounce-house/. In fact, that’s the best strategy of all: to do something because it feels good. The rest will come by itself.

“The Foggy Dew”- The Irish Rebel Song that Became Popular as a UFC Walkout Song

When it comes to UFC walkout songs, Conor McGregor’s “The Foggy Dew” can effectively intimidate, as it is a reminder of the irish boxer’s indomitable nature. While the song is an old Irish rebel song chronicling the 1916 Easter Rising against Great Britain, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion preferred to hear Sinead O’Connor’s rendition, every time he entered the UFC stadium.

The song also marked McGregor’s historic July 2014 UFC fight, the first time he used the music as his entrance song in the Dublin card. McGregor was already an intimidating figure when he waved to the legions of Celtic fans all fired up in hearing Sinead O’Connor’s powerful voice singing “The Foggy Dew” The raucous Dublin crowd all the more went into a frenzy as they watched the Irish boxer demolish Diego Brandão with a technical knockout in the first round; even before the Brazilian got the chance to use his Brazilian jiu jitsu (bjj) skills in warding off McGregor’s pummels.

In fact McGregor won a hefty $50,000 bonus in being named as the recipient of “Performance of the Night” award. Since then, the Irish fighter made “The Foggy Dew” his signature entrance song during his illustrious career as a UFC fighter.

The song also explains the rebellious character rooted in Conan McGregor’s personality, which he demonstrated in and out of the UFC combat sports arena.

”The Foggy Dew,” a Lamentation of the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland

“The Foggy Dew” narrates the story of the irish Republican’s rejection of the British rule and sovereign power over Ireland. The main reason is that back then, the British Empire called on most of its colonial subjects, particularly the young adult males to serve in the battlefield and protect the United Kingdom’s interest and sovereignty. During the period, the Gallipoli Campaign in the Middle East was the conflict, to which the British Empire had sent thousands of young Irishmen, Welshmen, Australians, New Zealnders and Indians to their deaths.

During the 1914 Easter Rising, irish patriots awoke the feelings of many of their country men on why they should fight for wars that are not of interest to the irish people. Rather than do so, why not just fight for Ireland’s freedom instead; a sentiment expressed in the “The Foggy Dew” via the line “Twas far better to die ‘neath an Irish sky, Than at Suvla or Sud el Bar.” Suvia being the battlefield of the Gallipoli Campaign where as many as 3,000 middle class Irishmen perished.

The Rising though led to the execution of the leaders, which as a result, caused further animosity toward the British Rule. To make short a long story about a long period of conflict and violence that transpired thereafter, 28 of Ireland’s 32 counties subsequently seceded in 1922 and formed the Free irish State, as agreed upon in the Anglo-irish Treaty.

In 1937, the Free irish State finally became the Republic of ireland while the pro-British irish citizens or “the Unionists” who favored staying under British rule, were left to occupy the Northern Ireland territory.

JLo’s Performance at the AMA Criticized as a Beyonce Copycat Version

Jennifer Lopez performed a special number with Maluma to the soundtrack of a new movie called “Marry Me,” at the American Music Awards presentation last Sunday. However, people took notice that everything looked familiar, claiming that the stage, JenLo’s wet & wild looks and dance moves were all copycat versions of Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” performance with Jay-Z during the 2014 Grammy Awards.

The controversy blew up on Twitter exploding with tweets pointing out the similarities between JLo’s AMA 2020 production number and Beyonce’s 2014 Grammy performance. Both women wore black body suits and flaunted short, wet-looking locks in their respective stage presentation. Some others mentioned that even the choice of lighting and use of chairs as props were very much alike.

What Tweets in Defense of Jlo Are Saying

One member of the production staff explained the similarity as due to the fact that the source of inspiration for the two women’s performance was the the Cell Block Tango dance feature of the musical “Chicago.” Still, JLo fans defended their idol by saying that Lopez’s performance was intended to pay homage to Beyonce’s performance instead of viewing it as an act of stealing Beyonce’s idea or concept.

Two or three defended their 51-year old icon’s performance by mentioning that Beyonce also met with the same issue when as a performing artist, many also took notice that her number was similar to past performances of other artists. They cited Beyonce’s music videos for “The Lion King: The Gift” she released last year, as the latest example.

Some defended JLo by simply saying that Beyonce did not invent the wet-hair look and that it’s only right that JLo wore an outfit that is similar to the one she wore in the movie’s music video soundtrack.
